A Martin Automatic “Flying Splice” unwind has also been ordered at the same time to add additional efficiencies and improvement to roll change over speeds.

As part of Berkshire Labels commitment to a greener environment www.thegreenlabelcompany.co.uk we have signed up to the 10:10 project which aims to unite every sector of British society behind one simple idea: that by working together we can achieve a 10% cut in the UK's carbon emissions in 2010.

Cutting 10% in one year is a bold target, but for most of us it's an achievable one, and is in line with what scientists say we need over the next 18 months. We now know for certain that unless we act quickly to reduce our use of dirty fossil fuels, humanity will face terrible problems in the years to come. Politicians have so far failed to do what needs to be done, so it's time for ordinary people to step in and show that we're ready to defend our children's futures. It's now or never for the climate.

As a company we are fully committed towards achieving the 10% goal by 2010.

For more information on this project and how you too can get involved visit www.1010uk.org

Debbie Lamond, Business Development Manager for BioTAK www.biotak.co.uk successfully completed a Half Marathon yesterday in her home town of Windsor, set in the stunning grounds of the Windsor Great Park. The start and finish of the 13 miles was on the famous Long Walk stretching from the Castle up to the Copper Horse. One of the hottest Autumn days recorded, it was not ideal running conditions, but she managed to complete it in 2:02 hours, along with 5000 other runners. Well done Debbie.
